FAQs
What makes working with Lyla different?
1
Lyla brings 20 years of experience helping individuals, adolescents, and families through life’s inevitable challenges. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all method, she draws on a variety of therapeutic approaches to find what fits your specific concerns. Whether your life changes are creating anxiety, depression, or are simply overwhelming, she tailors your care to you.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
2
You don’t need to be in crisis to start therapy. If stress, anxiety, low mood, or a big life change is weighing on your, that’s reason enough. Many people come simply because they want to understand themselves better or handle life with more confidence. A consultation is a low-pressure way to see if therapy feels right.
Do i have to share everything right away?
3
No. You set the pace, and it’s okay to say you are not ready to talk about something yet. Trust takes time to build, and therapy works best when you feel safe. Many people find they open up more naturally as sessions go on.
What if it doesn’t feel like a good fit?
4
Feeling comfortable with your therapist is one of the biggest factors in how well therapy works. If something doesn’t feel right, let Lyla know. You can talk about adjusting the approach, or she can help you find someone better suited to your needs. This kind of feedback is welcomed and won’t hurt her feelings.
